Death in family
« on: January 07, 2007, 05:30:56 PM »
Hello everyone. I am putting this message on about Aunt Beverly's husband, Ray. He had bone cancer and died at home with Beverly, who is 80 taking care of him.Bone cancer is very painful. Everyone should say a prayer for him....Grnadpa and I are going up there to Earlysville, Va. tomorrow morning. It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive so we won't be back until late tomorrow night.Michael will babysit Jake and Minnie while we are gone.I think he was 78 or so.Anyway, that is all the news from here...................Love, Mom,,,,,Grnadma or whatever......

GrandMa Kay & I made the trip up to Earlysville yesterday and it ended up being about 4? hours each way for the trip so it was a long day. We left Tobaccoville at about 5:30AM and got back around 10:30PM, but, although long it was a very good day, we have a good visit with Aunt Beverly and Uncle 'Pint' (Roy Christenson, one of G-Ma Kay's brothers).
We stayed with Beverly for about 7? -8 hours catching up family news and events plus talking about Uncle Ray and his passing. Beverly seems to be doing Ok with all of the recent events surrounding his death, Ray has been sick for several years so there were no surprises here.

While there I replaced the leaky  faucet in Beverly?s kitchen sink, not a big thing really, but she was glad that it was fixed. GrandMa Kay volunteered me for the job by-the-way? Thanks G-Ma! :disted:
Pint arrived a little later in the day and joined in, as mentioned it was a nice visit.

We took some pictures, here?s one of them and you can see the rest in the Gallery.
