... this is a working draft of a post to be made in the TP News board.
We are going to do a contest for the general membership to submit designs for new Team badges on TP.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome and if you see any mistakes in any of the comments below please be sure to point them out.

Please note that all of this copy is open for suggestions or change because we want to generate the maximum interest and participation from our members.

This is the first draft of the announcement:

Greetings TinyPortal Users! ?

Bloc and the TP Team want to invite you, the members and users of TinyPortal, to help us celebrate the upcoming public release of TinyPortal v1.0 beta5 by joining in this contest to design some new Badge graphic's for the TP site. Our current Badges (like the one below) are nice, but they've been in use for some time now and this seems a good way to update the look of the TP site a bit as we get ready for this next release.


And we've got some great prizes! 
Bloc has made a Premium Theme Club membership available as the prize for the winning entry, plus the winner will also be eligible to join the TinyPortal Alpha Team and have access to the latest Alpha releases of TP.

Image/Graphic's guidelines:

Size; 73px ? 19px
Type; GIF
File Size; 50kb, or less

TP Interface
TP Language

... is this list complete, or are there more that need to be added?

The contest will be open to all TinyPortal members and will run for 30 days. After the contest has closed the TP Team will vote on the entries and the results posted to the News board. You can post any questions or comments to this topic, but there will be a separate topic where you can post your contest entries.

The funny thing is I've done this at SMF Arcade about 2-3 years ago and was thinking of doing it again. But then again I just might make my own...eventually. LOL

This line seems to imply that the contest will end before the next release. Contest is set to run for 30 days. TP has been saying that it will be released in a week or so..(I doubt it with all of the bugs) but seems misleading.

Use approx sizes and easily convertible file types and have them create a blank (with no text) that can be easily modified.

Will have to think on this more...
