[Recipe] Grilled Cheese and Pepperoni Sandwiches
« on: July 21, 2010, 09:47:28 AM »
I just love these grilled cheese sandwiches! And they go great with tomato soup with a little chopped pepperoni, chopped basil and shredded cheese in the soup! This is my own recipe.

Directions:
1. Add a slice of you favorite cheese to a slice of bread.

2. Chop a few slices of pepperoni and add to the top of the above.

3. Add a little of some shredded blend cheese.

4. Top with another slice of bread.

5. Fry with a little butter until golden brown. Flip and add more butter and repeat.

Tips:
1. Seed 1/2 of a tomato and finely chop. To seed a tomato, cut it in half and gently squeeze the seeds out.

2. Add to the sandwich before the shred blend.

3. Add some fresh or ground basil on top of the chopped tomato and also sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4. Add onion and/or garlic powder. Or use sliced fresh sauteed garlic and/or onion, if preferred.

5. Other types of cheese can be used as well in whatever combination you choose as well as different herbs/spices.

ENJOY!
