Movies - Good, bad or ugly
« on: March 11, 2007, 03:08:11 AM »
Seen a good movie lately?

Just saw the movie 300. Loosely based upon the battle between the Persians and the Spartans. According to history, a group of 300 Spartans held back a massive army of approx 300,000 Persians for a few days. The Spartans had the advantage of defending a narrow passage with one side braced by a steep mountain pass and on the other side lay the ocean. Thus, the terrain forced the Persians into a narrow killing zone with no room to use their well known tactic of using calvary to flank enemy lines.

Enough of the history lesson, this movie had beautiful graftics, unique color palate and fine camera work. Too bad the acting was deadly wooden and exstreamly dull. The script had to be written by hacks and the so called acting was done while SHOUTING!!! to a roaring heavy metal score. Plently of head cutting and chopped legs for the whole family.....Rated R for a reason...Stands for retarded. Teenage boys, if you can get mom and dad to let you go see this hyper violent film, you will LOVE IT. It was made for you!

How bout you? Seen any good movies lately? :bigtmb:

Okay, so what's going to be the better movie this spring and summer, Spiderman 3 or Pirates 3? Do you even care?
