It's currently 26° which is warm as far as the rest of the week went. We were in the single digits since last weekend!

Zwilling J.A. Henckels 4-Stage Manual Knife Sharpener
« on: February 25, 2015, 09:27:44 AM »
My favorite knives were getting dull. I considered sending them out for sharpening but then decided to get this:

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/1/1/294971-zwilling-j-a-henckels-4-stage-manual-knife-sharpener-red-black.html

I tried it a few times with the same knives and it works very well and is easy to use! It even worked on my $100 J. A. Henckels Santoku knife that Lealer bought for me for Xmas several years ago and she messed up by not honing it after nor before each use.  knuppel :censored: She has been in the doghouse ever since.  :hah!:

Well, the cathouse.  :hah!:

I've been really mad at her about that. But now it is almost as good as new. It almost cuts paper now so I'll sharpen it a few time more to be sure. And here's an article on how to tell if your blades are dull:

Here's another more informative guide on knife care:
