Topic: Pane Bianco Bakealong Challenge

KingAuthurFlour.com has started a monthly baking challenge...nothing special. Just something to get people involved and try new things then you can post your goods online. You can read all about it here:

My bread baking skills are not bad but not great so I thought it would help me get better at it. You can see what the Pane Bianco is supposed to look like in the above link. My biggest concern was that the shape would not be good and/or the texture may be off. Actually, the texture was pretty good as well as the shape. I was surprised at that. However, it was a bit overcooked! The image is a bit dark but as you can see the sun-dried tomato bits are no longer red and the cheese is no longer white!!! 



That's what I get for playing video games instead of paying attention to the bread...

OK, but do it taste? That's the main thing.

Yes, it tasted pretty good...as long as you cut the top burnt pieces off. LOL The outside was a bit crusty and wasn't supposed to be. But the inside was still tender. I will probably try to make this again tonight or tomorrow. I actually thought it was going to be a lot harder...but it wasn't.
