The Russian Photo App That Makes You Look Old Is Probably Keeping Your Data

FaceApp is the most popular free app on Google Play and Apple's App Store thanks to an age filter that makes people in photos look much older. But while countless photos of aged celebrities and casual FaceApp users have been shared online in the past week, there are mounting concerns with how FaceApp handles user data.

FaceApp first became popular in 2017; the app uses artificial intelligence to alter people's faces with a variety of filters. Photos added to FaceApp are uploaded to a server for processing before being sent back to the user.

Some folks are really concerned about this app and some are not... I'm not willing to knowingly place anything one any of my devices that comes from Russia but my Grandson, Chris, is not afraid to do these kinds of programs, so here's me on his cellphone.

But people need to be more aware of where these apps come from and what they actually do BEFORE installing them. There has been a lot of negative media about FaceApp and it's security issues. Even the government is talking about it.
