It was my turn to cook. so, I decided on tomato soup and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. I doctored up some Campbell's canned soup (just didn't feel like making the usual roasted tomato/garlic/onion soup) and made regular grilled ham and cheese using Kraft sliced cheese...that was the first day...
We take turns cooking and cook for two days each. Since I've already made the soup I only had to make the sammies both days again. I made enough soup to have leftovers and decided to make lunch yesterday to eat up some of the soup and make it easy on making my lunch before taking my nap. Shortly before making my lunch I had a taste for a piece of cheese so I pulled out two of my favs...smoked gouda and KerryGold Reserved Cheddar (a really good Irish cheese) to snag a little piece of each.

While assembling it I thought it would be a great idea to lightly smooth one of the pieces of bread with dijon mustard (to add just a slight bit of tanginess to it) then cook them in butter. I tasted it after cooking it and thought I'd went to Heaven!!! This will be my new fav grilled cheese from now on...unless I find a better one. LOL Hmmmm, maybe make them with sliced pepperoni instead of ham...
