Power Strip Surge Protector
« on: August 31, 2024, 01:03:30 PM »
I found this at Amazon while looking for a new updated one for the one I've had for many years. I bought it because of the 4 USB posts and it also has 12 3 prong outlets. Now I just have to get some protective covers for them...like for electrical power outlets to keep the kids safe. ;) I may get another for the living room as this one is for my PC and devices.

Good looking power strip, and at a good price.

I have an older one that is somewhat similar to this one and I have always liked it except for the way the ports are all facing up, leaving them vulnerable to collecting dust and moisture. So, it's best to place them away from 'end' tables where you might have a drink sitting and give them a good suck with your vacuum once a month or so. Of course, the protective covers you mentioned will help with the dust and debris issues.

Yes, them facing up is an issue. Now, even the newer PC's have them top of the case instead of the front of it. I went to Micro Center where I've always bought my PC parts when I build them and maybe 2 out of the 30+ cases they had were facing up!  >:(

Anyhow, I plan on getting these:
