You can re-attribute posts from an old member name to the new or different username by running this query in phpMyAdmin.

UPDATE smf_messages SET ID_MEMBER='THEIR_NEW_ID' WHERE postername='OLD_USERNAME'Of course change smf_ to whatever your database prefix is if it's not smf_.

You can set post count to whatever you want in your Admin CP.
