Looks good Les.

Are you doing the Google ads, or do they come as part of the program?

well they do come with it, but you enter your own ad code, so you get paid for the ads.

One thing though I am having a problem with the script, cant get the comments to work, so I sent off a ticket to the author, lets hope they get back, or I am gonna claim back from paypal  :bigb:

It looks great and seems to work well but only the admin can add recipes.

Anyone should be able to add recipes, but it has to approved by an admin though

Oh, I was going by what they had posted on the site. I missed the "Submit Recipe" at the top of the page in the menu. LOL

Edit: Looks like an extra field somewhere, probably in the comments table when posting a comment:
Quote
Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

But according to this:
Quote
Unknown column 'approved' in 'where clause'

The "approved" field/column was probably not created for some reason. I "assume" that's why comments aren't working...

Speaking of recipe mods...  :08:

Our efforts have fallen into limbo over time because of very limited response to our calls for help on building a workable recipe mod, but when I just saw where Steve posted a large batch of recipes and tips on The Family Gathering that reminded me of this project.

So... I'm wondering if we should give it another run?  :bigcheese:

You mean asking for someone to code a recipe mod?

The ones I am adding to my site now are the same ones I put here. I never had most of them on my own site but had posted them at other sites. LOL

btw, I just noticed that Les put a "Cream Puffs" recipe in the "Beef From The Oven" category. LOL

This topic has been dormant for almost a year, but it's being brought back up because lately we've renewed our interest in posting recipes and articles about food so maybe it's time for us to think about some kind of recipe book or cookbook page for the FF?

Currently I'm looking at some of the 'Wiki' mods that are available for SMF to see if any of those might fit our needs.

Sounds good. If my money gets right again, I'll pay to get a SMF mod done.

I'm not have much success with these wiki mods, they just don't fit the need.

What do you think about reviving the Mod Request Topic on the SMF boards Steve?
It has been over seven months sense the last post to that topic, still it might be useful to reopen it.

Not sure... Since the problems over at SMF a lot of devs has disappeared.

I haven't had the time to look around at the options available...smf integrated or otherwise.

Been having an exchange of PM's with 'johncccccc' over on SMF and he is going to have a look at our Mod request, in fact he posted in our topic over there.
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=306290.msg2727589#msg2727589

He writes some good stuff, our two latest Mods are his work.
