Get Well Soon Charlie
« on: October 23, 2009, 12:25:42 PM »
Yesterday while Mom, Yvonne and me were talking together on Skype she got a call on her house phone from Brother Robert (UncleBob) and because she had him on speaker phone I could hear his side of the conversation. He was only a few seconds into saying hello to Mom when he suddenly yelled, "Charlie!" and left the phone (it was still on).
Then after about 45-60 seconds later he came back on to say to Mom that it wasn't really serious, that Charlie (his wife) had slipped on the stairs but that she was OK and then he cleared the phone.

Of course Mom, Yvonne and me were worried that it was worse that Bob let on because it sounded really serious to us.  :undecided2:

So, I sent of an email to Bob asking him to give us an update asap and he did so this morning, here's part of his message.

Thanks for the concern. It could have been bad because she was more than half way up from the lower level.
These steps are old fashion, and are just wood. There's no padding anywhere. On the sides are rails, but rough cut wood behind them. This house was built in the 30s.
She didn't fall down, rather grabbed the rail and hit her butt while going down the steps. Her arms is what got a little bruised up with one small cut. So now she has about five bruise places and one cut.

Overall it's fine, and is going to work today; but no matter what she says, I didn't beat her up!  :wink2:

Thanks for the update Bob, tell Charlie we send our love and hope she gets better soon.  :bigthumb:
