There has been some discussion in the Team boards for a few days now about the slow load times for tp.net, so Bloc is reloading the whole site I think.

Yes, saw that Steve.
I don't know enough about servers and how Mods affect them to have an opinion, but hopefully Bloc and Brad will take a look at stuff like that as they rebuild the site.

EDIT:
Speaking of that kind of thing; I read and saw where DreamPortal was posting about their new portal and someone said that they saw a queries call for 50 + so I went to the DP site and it took 70+ queries to load for me.

It's kind of like how when a rss block takes forever to load and slows down the site. I'm sure there are server issues but I did notice that part.

EDIT: And I was just thinking of joining the theme club in time for the price cut and get new themes. LOL

I believe today is the last day.

I've already thought of that but I'm sure he will have his hands full today and maybe tomorrow. Besides, I don't mind paying full price and supporting TP. I haven't bought anything in some time and will probably buy a few new themes when they are all updated.

Good thought.

I should probably do the same because even though I'm on the TP Team my contributions to the overall effort is rather small. Trouble is that when you are retired you tend to guard your funds much more then you may had done while you were still working.  :disted:

I hear ya. Retirees aren't the only ones who budget their money. LOL

I thought it was time to get some new themes and the only ones I like are his paid ones. So, it looks like I'll have to pony up. I've even considered going back into theme making. I made a few before SMF 1 RC1.1. After that, Bloc changed the coding and came out with the default theme which threw me off. Besides, I was starting to run too many sites and didn't have the time to keep up.

This year, I plan on learn more about php and more about themes. I also plan to spend more time testing various cms, software like I used to. That's what I really enjoy doing. I'll need to cut out a few things to accomplish this but will be happier. :)
