Anti Bot: Are You Human/Bot? 3.0

Lately we've been getting a lot of registrations from spammers, mostly from Ukraine and the Netherlands.

So I'm trying to upgrade our registration programs and have just installed the Anti Bot mod.


 I was trying to install "Forum Firewall" mod, but when it is uploaded to the Package Manager it disappears after 2-3 seconds... this happens on this site and my test site both.
This same behavior also happens when FileZilla is used.

I should change my article on those. Forum Firewall can be tricky and can disable your forum or even ban your users if not careful. I suggest a combination of Stop Spammer and httpBL OR you can use Underdog's mod "Spam Blocker" which incorporates both:

The downside to his mod is you can't add users to the spammer db like you can with Stop Spammer. But you can blacklist or whitelist IP's in the admin.  Have a look in my admin and you can see how it's setup.

./Themes/default/Display.template.php error shows on install, so this will need to be off until later... me gotta be off for now.

Spam Blocker is installed.

The Display.template.php error was cause by one line of code that didn't get installed... the installed didn't understand what it saw, so it skipped that line.

The Spam Blocker mod seems to be working. The error log shows several log-in attempts and some registration attempts that failed.

You are right, the list is growing. 

Your honeypot values are set at zero, have you tried to set them higher? In the guide it seems to suggest that it should be set to 25.

I think Underdog may have set them...not sure. He is always tweaking my site and it probably has a newer version than everyone else's. Same goes for the Battle. I haven't changed anything in a long time. you're talking about the Ignore Score Threat?
