It is working good Maxx, in fact it's working great!
A lot of work has gone into this release by Mick and Illori, plus the Beta Testing Team, so a big thank you needs to go out to all of them.

And work continues.

YandexGarland    1.2
Musical Christmas Garland. (... you can see them across the top of the forum.)

You can hear the sound when you touch balls by your mouse or when you press some keys. For example for play Jingle Bells press t-t-t-t-t-t-t-i-q-e-t-y-y-y-y-y-t-t-t-t-t-e-e-q-e-i

Had to comment out some code in TPortal.php so that the sound in this Mod would work, need to remember to fix the code after the Holidays.

Code: [Select]
/** NOTE: This JQuery must be reactivated after the YandexGarland Christmas ormiments are turned off.
// Load JQuery if it's not set (anticipated for SMF2.1)
if (!isset($modSettings['jquery_source']))
$context['html_headers'] .= '
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.1.min.js"></script>';

Well this is working out well!  groan:

Trying to follow This Post on SMF on how to change your Avatars directory from the default location and save on the calls to PHP on your page-loads.
My motivation is trying to find a fix for some Avatar errors that keep popping up in the error log.

So, I've made a new Avatar directory, 'avs' and moved the Avatars over to the new folder using, "?action=admin;area=manageattachments;sa=moveAvatars", but the Avatars are not showing!  :censored:
Uploading a new Avatar is not working either.
Playing around with file permissions currently trying to see if that helps.

The garland is VERY nice! And it works...

That post on SMF is a bit old so maybe it doesn't work with current versions.

Yeah, the garland is nice, I like it.  :thumbup:

The post:
Maybe so. I need to read the entire topic and then post too it if necessary to find the correct steps to follow, because it would be nice if a fix could be found or the Avatar errors.

Hmmm, I thought SMF fixed it so you should just be able to change the folder in the and move them there.

Using the directions in the SMF topic I created a new folder, 'avs' and then changed the paths and urls and then ran the 'moveAvatars' command. That all seemed to work OK, but the Avatars never made it to the new folder. Then I manually uploaded them, but they still did not show.

Personally, I've never tried it. I wanted to just to see if it would work but never got around to it.

For me it sounds like a good idea for big forums, but maybe not such a big deal for a small one like this one. As noted before, my main reason for trying it is because of the constant Avatar errors in the logs.

I'm going to stick with it and get it sorted out.  :disturbed:
