They really need a better way of numbering the versions. It's starting to get confusing. I see that today the first post was updated by allvip. When I downloaded the zip it said I already had it and asked if I wanted to replace it. If this is a new version that was put out in the last 2 days or so I would think I already have it and would not download it thinking I would be testing the same thing.

Maybe RC3.1, RC3.2, etc. If you keep using the same version number it seems to be the same one and people will think there is no need to download it again. I see posts saying it's updated but the version numbers don't change which leads to confusion. The post is dated June 25 but edited today. Is this a newer version of RC3?

Yepp... allvip added(edited) this latest version too that first post today.
He is working on bugs and the like on a daily basis and has been releasing new versions often... sometimes only a day or two apart. I agree that the numbering system is confusing at times, but I'll very thankful that allvip, Illori and Mick are putting all this effort into refining TP.

Yes, I'm glad they are working on it so it doesn't die off. But for people who are used to testing it will be even more confusing and they may not download the new version and continue testing an older version.

Agreed 100%  I find it difficult to follow, so can't really expect the beta testers to work it out.

Believe me I've tried asking them not to replace the existing zip with updated versions, and that they should post them in the team board first so I can change the versions, Do they listen,  No. lol..

I'll have to drop them a reminder. ;)

Illori suggested some code changes to TPassimilate.php that will hopefully fix this error. Gotta keep checking the error log over the next few days to see how the changes work out.

The way you have posting set by default is the problem. Go to preview mode first. Then click the last BBC icon (the little arrow with the brackets around it). You can then click on the little world icon and a small popup box will show ask you to enter or paste the URL you wish to use instead of it adding the "url" BBC tags in the post you are creating. I've setup my site so this is done by default. No BBC coding required.

Quick reply does not do this unless you have enabled the BBC icons to show along with it.

Seems to be working now... did you fix the settings already?

[EDIT:]... where is the setting for that anyway?
