I want stopper #1. I will definitely get more in the future. I want to see what other color/shape combo's you come up with.

OK, I'll set #1 aside and hold it for you.

Love your new Avatar, it is very beautiful.

:bigteeth1:  I love the bottle stopper! I don't want to use it, lol. I just want to put it on a shelf for display. The finish on the stopper is so much more beautiful that what it shows in the picture. I will definitely have to get a few more.

I have a suggestion, you should make up a short bio card to include with the stoppers. A little history on the maker. Who made it, when, where(general area), how long you have making them. It puts a little history with the stopper.

Hi BR... I'm glad you like your bottle stopper. :happy1:

I've been working on the photographic and lighting skills, especially trying to improve my 'close up' technique so that my pics can be more defined and clear. My camera is supposed to be able to shoot clearly at 2 inches.

Your idea of an insert is good, I've been thinking along the same lines and will go ahead and make up one to include with all sales.

Good Idea on the bio Ken, you write something up, and I'll design a card for you if you like, I was thinking business card size  :bigteeth1:

OK.  laughing7

I'll see what I can come up with. A business card is a good idea and also a short blurb that can be printed to a card sized piece of print stock (like 3x5, 4x6, etc) to be included with each stopper, or other items that are in the plans to sell.

To shoot that close you need to set the camera to "macro" mode. However this will produce an extreme close up...maybe more than you'd like. Best to back away a bit and use the camera's zoom feature to close in on it until you get what you want. ;)

Don't get me wrong, you can probably use the macro setting but you don't want to get too close. You may have to play with te distance and see how it comes out. I assume that te stoppers are about 2-3 inches...maybe 4?

Most are about 3.5 inches long with the stopper and knob assembled. If you look on the Etsy page there is one that's made from Cypress and it's about 4.5 inches... that's about as long as they would ever be.
