Ran the bridge for CPG to SMF.

Now gotta figure out how to have links to both CPG and SMFgallery... reading up on SMF & CPG just leads to out of date and confusing information.

Ken, the link needs to be added to the SMF main site nav menu.  That's a SMF thing.

In Coppermine you already have the forum link added.  If you want to Change the home button to point to this home page, just change it in config.

Right, understood about it being an SMF thing for the nav bar button, but there in lies the problem. Trying to read up over on SMF leads to lots of info on older versions of SMF, but for 2.0.9 it's hard to fathom adding a link because the file location for those edits has changed and the directions that I've been able to uncover so far are not getting me to actually having a CPG Gallery button on the forum nav bar.

If memory serves, we had links to both some years back, but whatever those edits were are long gone now, so me gotta go back to SMF for more research.  laughing7

You want /Sources/Subs.php near the bottom of the file. Or use Notepadd++ or something similar and search for this:

function setupMenuContext()

 :thumbup:
 That lasagna sounds good... me just had noodles (DaVinci Bucatini) in chicken broth with a little shredded chicken mixed in, the broth was the remainder from cooking the chicken for the sandwiches for tomorrow.
It were good.

Good job except you may wish to add a space between CPG and gallery. and maybe use a capital G for gallery...

Which would look better, 'Coppermine', or 'CPG Gallery'?
Coppermine saves one space over the other spelling (10 vs 11)... currently it's set to Coppermine.

Ken, I'll be honest and say I've never been able to add a proper hard coded link to the SMF nav bar, and always screw it up.  So I cheat and use a menu manager.  Hence why I think SMF should have one built in to core, Or as my other suggestion TP have one built in as standard.  It's just a PITA to add a link imo.

If you look at the gallery link at http://cameracraniums.com you'll see it has a dropdown with, Last comments, Upload file, and latest uploads.

The only problem is although this particular menu manager works, it will kill your site if not used in the right order. lol..  I have got the hang of it now though.

Yeah, I agree on the built-in menu manager, it would make it so much easier to deal with.

I think those dropdown links that you have are really neat and will add them to the Coppermine link here. After finally starting to understand the help/how to for adding links that are posted over on SMF maybe I can do a dropdown without killing the forum.  :o

I've used a menu before and though about doing so for this, but was finally able to muddle through the hard code instructions.
