Cook's Essentials Pressure Cooker
« on: September 25, 2015, 01:14:42 PM »
I've been thinking about buying on of these, the electric kind, since my grandfather got one about a year or so ago. Been looking at them online but never got around to buying one. Well, my grandfather bought a new one and gave me his old one. It's only a 4qt. and I wanted a 6 qt. but it was free and will give me a chance to see how they work and how well they work.

I'm making a recipe for Honey Baked Beans in it right now.

Kay has one that's much larger, she likes to go big on her kitchen stuff. :)

I was thinking of getting a stove top one, you can go pretty big with those. But the electric ones only go to 6 qts., I think. I will eventually get a 6 qt cause I have a family and 4 qts is too small...you're not supposed to fill them up all of the way so you actually use less than the stated capacity.

Beans were quick and easy and taste pretty good! Now I see how it works I'll have to try different things. :)
