workshop in the back yard
« on: February 26, 2017, 10:53:36 AM »
I've been building me a workshop in the back yard, Lisa got it for me :smitten: Cost her £300 ($375)

Built it on my own, its 10ft x 6ft the hardest part was putting the roof on!

They come premade, flat packed.

Here are a few pictures

Looks great, Bro! I'd suggest some varnish to help protect, it you don't have any on it already.

Thanks guys

My next job is to build a workbench, I have already got the wood to build it, using reclaimed wood.

Lisa has got me a new woodwork vice to fit on it... Draper, Quick Release Woodworking Bench Vice 10in jaw, opens to 18ins

Nice looking vice.

You may already know about this YouTube channel that Paul Sellers has, but just in-case that you don't, his link is below. He has lots of great woodworking videos, including a whole series on building a workbench.

Heres The bench front and back.

I added 2 2x3 too each end, on the top at the back I added 2 more 2x3 that can be removed to make a tool well..

The top I used reclaimed builders planks

Lisa got me this electric saw made life so much easier

I also put this up the other day, keep it a bit tidy ..

Les, looks like you have a great start on a very nice workshop. Your bench looks to be solid and strong... I'm looking forward to seeing what neat projects you come up with in your shop.

Good looking bench-top table saw Les.

It's a slippery slope Les! No matter how many tools you have, you'll always need more!  laughing7
