DNA Story

My DNA results are in!
After many years of casual dabbling in our Family's history and genealogy I finally had my DNA tested by Ancestry DNA and the results are finally in.

As you can see in this clip most of the DNA lines show as England, Scotland, Wales with some Ireland included. The Asia East category is interesting... looks like me has some Russian and North Korean in the mix.  laughing7
Asia East:
Primarily located in: Russia, China, North Korea, South Korea, Mongolia, Myanmar (Burma), Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei, Palau

Overall these results generally conform to the research that my Mom, Mallie, and her sister, Martha, worked on for several decades during the 50's-90's and then by my sister Yvonne.

What country do you think the "Hamrick" name originated from?
... this FamilyFourm topic is from January 2009 where Bridgett Hamrick and I talk about our Families origins.

Great! I've considered doing something like that myself. I do know we are part Irish because of the Irish slave owners that kept us. Digging back it was said there were very good to their slaves and even intermarried some. We have a huge reunion every year and have two large Thanksgiving dinners every year. There's well over 300+ easy at these gatherings. LOL

Btw, the link to Ancestry DNA is:
