I originally didn't post this here because I've never heard you mention that you had a VPN. LOL The main thing is to check to see if the VPN is leaking any info.

Thanks for this great tip Steve. 

Just ran mine through ipleak.net (again) and it's showing that mine, IPVanish, seems to be working OK.
