Most Everything Must Go.
« on: October 01, 2023, 12:59:37 PM »
Please Note:
... this topic won't be published here on OFF because it's just a 'live site' work-up for a set of posts that I'm preparing for a topic on the NC Woodworker website. I'm gonna sell off most of my wood-turning and woodworking equipment and this topic will be posted there once all the details are worked out here in this topic.

Also, any commentary and/or advice on the topic layout, my words herein, or any other comments are most welcome.  :)

edit: ... Maybe it ill be published here after all, or, maybe not.  shocked028  :hah!:

2nd edit: Moved this Topic to Hobbies!

Re: Tools for sale
« Reply #1 on: October 01, 2023, 01:17:48 PM »
... this is my first draft of the topic opening:

Hello wood-turning and woodworking friends.
The time has come for me to part with most of my tools and equipment and while this is not a 'fire sale', I do need to dispose of these tools in a timely manner because my health issues make it unlikely that these tools will be of use to me again.

In the following posts I'll include most everything available and the prices will generally be about 50% of new because most of the listed tools have been lightly used, except where noted. I am open to negotiations, especially when bundling two or more items, but please don't waste your time on low ball offers.

If you are interested in any of the tools listed please send me a PM with you contact number and I'll give you a call so that we can setup a meet.
Please note that my location is Tobaccoville, NC, about 10-15 minutes out of Winston Salem.
Also note that should you purchase anything that requires more than one person to load you will be on your own because I would not be able to help in any way.
And, shipping is not going to be available on any of these items, all sales will be in person and cash only.

Thanks for looking... Ken.

No doubt that's true. The shipping might be an issue, but if he has any interest I will surely try and work it out.

Just changed the topic title to "Most Everything Must Go"
... of course I'll likely change it again at some point.  laughing7

My son, Michael, just helped me move everything around and cleaned up a bit so that we could do a photo shoot, so now I'm gonna be processing the pix for posting. I think that I'll post them to the photo gallery here and let them be linked to here when my topic is posted to the woodworking site,

Slowly getting there.

SOLD.
Delta 46-460 12 1/2 Inch Variable Speed Midi Lathe:
This Delta lathe has been lightly used and is in excellent condition and includes a Delta bed extension plus a shop built mobile stand. There are numerous tools and equipment available for the lathe and I would prefer to make a package deal on the lot, but I'm open to all offers.
All of gouges, scrapers, parting tools and similar tools will be included with the lathe. (none of these tools are of a high quality)
Also included, all wood turning blanks, including some maple and walnut plus one purple heart board that is approximately 2x4x3+. Other than the purple heart the wood is just OK and if it dose not go with the lathe it will go in the burn pile.
Asking price; $850.00

There is more to come of course, but everything listed so far is for wood turning.

Workmate 550, aside from being very dusty this Workmate shows very little signs of use.
Asking; $50.00

Shop Built Dust Extraction, this is on a mobile cart and is based on a Craftsman shop vac and has always served me well for my table saw dust extraction. It has seen a lot of use, but still works very well.
Asking; $50.00

Tap and Die Set, it's from Harbor Freight so it's cheap, but it works OK.
Asking; $25.00
