Yes. it's true, I know that guy!
In the YouTube clip below watch for the fat bartender with a shotgun. He and I worked together in Florida back in the 1990s and the 2000s. His nickname was 'Shar-pei' because of those massive wrinkles in his face. Maybe they used some kind of makeup to smooth out his lines and wrinkles because in RL they were much more pronounced.
