Thanks for the D-Day wishes Guys, it was a nice day with lots of calls from my Children and G-Children + a few of them were able to pop over for a visit.

Plus, my Beloved Wife Kay broiled a nice steak for me along with all the trimmings, and she topped it off with her version of a very tasty home-made strawberry shortcake.

I am a happy guy, and it was nice celebrating my 39th B-Day.
 ... comedy reference to the way-back machine; any guesses?

Sounds like a great day! The funny thing is in the last 2 days I saw recipes for strawberry shortcake (one was made with cornmeal) and have been thinking of making some myself. LOL

Sorry, but no. I have a ton of recipe magazine issues from long ago. I've been going through them for about a year now. I try to go through 1-2 a day while on my work breaks/lunches. I saw them just recently, couldn't have been no more than two weeks or so?  I'll have to go through the recent ones and maybe make pics of them for you or jot them down.

Up here we aren't used to cornmeal ones but they do sound interesting...

Basically, you just make cornmeal biscuits instead of regular ones. I'll post two I've found in the Recipe board.
