It's currently 26° which is warm as far as the rest of the week went. We were in the single digits since last weekend!

PICC LINE
« on: June 26, 2024, 07:11:08 AM »
Well, it's off to my local NHFMC Radiology Department to have a PICC line installed and then start a course of IV antibiotics that will run for several weeks!  shocked028

I don't actually like the idea of a PICC line, but in recent months my arms have turned into pincushions, so this is a long overdue step in my progress.

I get what you're saying about the PICC line.  :-\

Probably the most practical thing considering what you will be going through.

Hope the treatment works well for you Ken  :)

Had my first in-home treatment by the visiting Nurse, and she taught Kay the current technics used in the process. Kay got up to speed easily, she had been a Nurse for 40 years after all. 😎 Everything went well, now we just get to enjoy the daily drip for the next 4 weeks or so. 🎉

You are a lucky man Ken. A wife that cooks and was a nurse too? Wow!

Wish you all the best and that this treatment works well for you.  :)

Done!  laughing7

Had the PICC line removed a couple of days ago after 47 days of infusions. Now comes the chore of trying to discover if it worked.

And, now we start the new cancer treatment drug, Lenvima, with the hope that it will keep my cancer(s) in check.

I really hope that worked for you Ken. You certainly put in the work.

Best of luck with the new cancer drug as well.  :)

Saw my Oncology Doctor yesterday, and the news was kind of OK, because the two liters of fluid that they just drained from my lungs was clear of cancer cells.
